BILL DONALDSON

Founder, President, Executive Director

Bill has been a financial advisor, coach and consultant in private practice for over 20 years. He became an ordained Interfaith Minister in June of 2021 to bring a more spiritual approach to his work and to fulfill his dream of running a spiritual retreat center. He lives at Sticks and Stones Farm where he provides regular spiritual services and gatherings and oversees all operations.

WILL DIAZ

Director

Will’s adult life has been in constant commitment to community service. He is the founder and president of the CT Love Army, a community altruism project founded in 2015. Will is an adult educator out of the UCONN School of Social Work and co-founder of We Rise: Storytelling Collective, an organization dedicated to connecting people through the power of storytelling founded in 2016.

MARK ROMANO, ND

Director

Mark is a Naturopathic Physician practicing in Fairfield, CT at Barefoot Living Arts which he founded. In addition, he teaches Qi Gong and Shen Zhen meditation - often at Sticks and Stones Farm. Mark brings to the board a passion for improving the lives of others and a grounded, peaceful and wise presence.

DAVID MACEY

Director

Dave is a brand marketing expert with a proven track record of bringing the right people together at the right time for the best success. He is passionate about making real connections between people, communities and causes and has advised over a dozen non-profit startups. Dave has been a resident of Newtown for many years and is a well-respected in the community.

SUSAN ALKER, ESQ.

Director

Susan Alker is an ordained Interfaith Minister and a student at Yale Divinity School, where she studies eco-spirituality. After a nearly 30-year career as a corporate attorney, Susan presently teaches as an Adjunct Professor at Fairfield University. She has a JD from UCLA Law School and an MBA from California State University.

MADALYN AINLEY

Project Manager

Madalyn is a Senior Manager with Arc-One Solutions, an affiliate of The American Red Cross, where she worked for several years prior. She brings many years of project management experience and a passion for our mission to the team. She is an avid runner and loves spending time doting over her cat Eleanor Rigby.

JOHN WOODALL, M.D.

Board Advisor, Community Building

We are honored to include Dr. Woodall on our team. In addition to his vast experience in psychiatry, he has played an integral role in helping communities heal after tragedy locally, nationally and internationally. From Bosnia, to NYC after 9/11, to Sandy Hook, Dr. Woodall continues to serve various communities by helping them to heal and become more resilient to tragedy. His mission to foster more connection in the world is a perfect fit.
